KMC held in April, a simulation exercise for Sörmland County Council. The County was trained in medical management command and control in a mass-casuality incident. The scenario was a train-crash with over 300 passengers.
Management groups was established at the counties three different hospitals and the regional level was established in the residential town Nyköping. Rescue service, dispatch, ambulance service, police, designated duty officers in neighbouring counties as well as designated duty officer on national level was involved as counter-play in the exercise.
Emergo Train System was used in the exercise from the incident site and transport to the hospitals. All three hospitals in the county was displayed on whiteboards. A similar exercise with the same scenario took place last year in northern Sweden.
