A new concept for education and training of prehospital medical staff in
management and control on scene of accident has been developed at the Centre for Teaching and Research in Disaster Medicine in Linköping. The concept that is supported by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare is based on the national guidelines. Within 36 months there are more than 3000 users trained and certified in Sweden. Examination is standardised and uses measurable performance indicators as a tool for quality control.
